One of the joys of being a photographer is having the opportunity to watch as children grow. I first met this family last fall for a family session. However, since mom was pregnant, I also shot a few maternity photos. Later, I had the great pleasure of welcoming their new baby boy as we met for their newborn session. It was such a pleasure during this family session see how much the little boys had grown.
Our session was performed outdoors where we could take advantage of the natural light and features of the land. We chose an area with colorful trees and fallen leaves. The family wore different shades of blue which gave them a unified look but also maintained their individuality. The different blues contrasted nicely to the variety of colors in the background and allowed the family to shine. The parents looked so proud as they posed with their little men.
The boys did a great job of participating in the photographs. The baby brother sat up proudly, and his beautiful blue eyes shined brilliantly. He was a happy little man with the cutest laugh. The older brother had lots of fun sitting on the wall and gave me several charming little grins. He loved shooting pictures with his little brother, and as they sat in the grass together, he gave him a huge bear hug.
I had so much fun getting a chance to work with this family again. Time goes by so quickly, and I love being able to capture these special moments. These photographs will become a special treasured memory.
