It is so great to be able to meet so many beautiful beautiful newborn babies. Each one has their own special uniqueness. Today’s session included a new mom and dad, along with their sweet newborn daughter.
It was fun to capture this little lady sleeping peacefully. As she was asleep, I took some photos of her sleeping on her stomach. It was so cute to see all of her little wrinkles and squishy parts. I loved her cute chubby legs and fingers. So kissable. I was able to focus in on those cute little hands. What a great keepsake for the parents to remember how little those fingers were!
It was a joy to obtain some family pictures. Both parents gazed so lovingly down on their new baby girl, and their happiness (and probably their sleepiness) was so evident on their faces. I enjoyed the picture of the father with his arms around his family. That photograph conveyed such a sense of love and security.
We used a variety of blankets and backgrounds to give the pictures different textures and colors. I started this session with neutral colors, which really allowed the glow of her rosy skin to shine. In some photos, I had the little angle laying on a white fuzzy blanket, and she looked like this little ray of pink softness lying in a cloud. Very beautiful and tender. I also used some of the symbols of fall to create a very unique picture with the sleeping baby surrounded by hay and pumpkins. Such a sweet representation of the season.
I enjoy being able to offer a unique experience for each family that I welcome into the studio. As I watch my own children growing up, it really makes me reflect on how babies are babies for such a short period of time.
