Newborn photography takes a special touch. It is such a pleasure to create lasting memories of gorgeous new babies. This session was no different. I had the opportunity to work with two amazing parents and their beautiful new daughter.
This session began with the traditional baby-sleeping-on-her-stomach photos. I loved how I was able to coax out the soft features of her face. There were some times that I was able to capture her lips curled into a soft grin while she was off in dreamland. It is amazing to see all of her tiny details: her soft brown hair, her adorable fingers, her gorgeous eyelashes and her plump kissable cheeks.
Mom and dad loved a variety of headbands and blankets that I had provided to use of our session. One my favorites was the peach blanket with a matching headband. It really brought out the rosy color of her skin. And mom brought a few special pieces of her own. A very special moment came when I photographed the baby wearing a belt from mom’s wedding dress. It was such an original idea and created a stunning keepsake and added such a special touch to the newborn session.
Mom and dad wore shirts in grey, red, and blue that allowed for a nice color contrast to the baby. It was great to see the joy on the parent’s faces as Dad wrapped his arms around his family. Both parents had such stunning dark hair that will look great as this little girl gets older. Here are some of my favorite images from our time together.
