This sweet little angel captivated me the second I saw him! Not only was he absolutely gorgeous, he had such a sweet temperament. Its such a joy to be a Mesa newborn photographer…I was so excited to create a custom work of art for this sweet family to cherish forever! Newborns like this are the reason I consider myself so blessed to be able to do what I do. There is nothing in this world as precious as a brand new baby. His tiny little toes and sweet little rolls were absolutely perfect. I photographed him with soft light to highlight the beauty and softness of his exquisite features. He even cooperated by giving me a big, beautiful smile. I couldn’t decide whether he looks more like mom or dad, but with such great-looking parents, he can’t go wrong either way! Moms can sometimes be a little shy about getting in the picture with their new babies, but they are always glad they did. These first precious moments as a family are so fleeting.
Newborn babies are perfect in their natural state. I always strive to capture them as they are with minimal and simple props that highlight their perfection rather than detract from it. For this sweet little one, I used several soft, natural wraps in neutral tones. My artwork is meant to be a lifelong keepsake, so I stay away from trends that may look dated in a few years. I chose a mix of smooth and nubby textures, both of which emphasize his soft, smooth baby skin. Nothing could be more appropriate for a brand new baby than a sweet little nest, so I photographed him all curled up and snuggled into a comfortable rustic nest as well.
As a mom, I still get nostalgic when I look back on those newborn days, so I’m thrilled I was able to capture the joy of this sweet family welcoming their new baby. I know they will always cherish their custom fine art portraits.
