A wonderful part of my life involves the opportunity to help families create cherished memories. Recently, I had the opportunity to work with a family of three, now four, who had just welcomed a new little girl into their home. I first had the opportunity to work with this family during their maternity session, and I was honored to have them return for a new photo shoot to welcome their daughter.
The baby girl was blessed with pinkish-ivory skin. Her beautiful complexion was accented with ivory and white blankets. The parents wore contrasting blues to bring out the delicateness of her features. I loved seeing the excitement and joy on their faces as they gazed lovingly down on their new little bundle. The new big brother grinned from ear to ear as he held his little sister.
This beautiful girl tipped the scales at over 10 pounds when she was born. She had such beautiful little fat rolls and gorgeous chunky cheeks. So kissable! Her pink lips were soft and serene. I loved how her little baby hair fell softly on her head, and the flower headbands gave her the soft, feminine look, especially when she was wrapped delicately in a lacy blanket. One of my favorite features is the photograph that shows her umbilical cord. As their daughter grows older, that photo will remind them of that connection and bond between a mother and her baby.
I enjoyed how easy it was to work with this little lady. She was so cooperative and patient as I obtained great shot after great shot. At the end of the session, she opened her beautiful eyes, giving me another stunning photograph. She even curled her lips into a cute little smile. I am looking forward to more sessions in the future and creating more treasured memories.
