This little lady was a star from the beginning. She had been blessed with beautiful head of dark brown hair. Occasionally, we accented her hair with a cute pink and cream flower headband. The color looked stunning.
I started the session with some cute shots of the baby girl sleeping on her stomach. She had this beautiful way of curling her hands underneath her chin like she didn’t have a care in the world. Later, I wrapped her in different lace and gossamer blankets, each adding a different touch of elegance. The baby had a cute look of country class when we dressed her in a silk and lace bonnet with a matching blanket. I laid her in a little wooden box, and she looked like a precious gift from above.
In most photo shoots, I typically will use light neutral tone backdrops. In this session, however, I decided to experiment with a darker blue background. The baby girl was dressed in a matching blanket and headband, and she looked sensational. The color combination looked amazing her with her skin and gave her a beautiful rosy glow.
It was a joy to work with this loving family. I loved to see the look on the parents’ faces when they gaze down on their new baby. I hope as this little one grows, the family will return to their favorite D.C. Newborn photographer for more treasured pictures!
