I have an extra special place in my heart for the babies in my newborn session today. Yes, that is right; I said babies! Boy and girl twins to be exact. As a mom of a set of boy and girl twins myself, I feel a special connection to these families. I know first hand how challenging being a parent of twins can be, but I also know that you get to experience twice the kisses and twice the love.
The twins were ready for their photo debut. They were so cooperative and allowed me the time to find those cute poses. They had similar features, but I loved how her features looked so feminine, especially with a touch of lace and a flower headband, and how his features looked so masculine, along with his cute little pants. One of my favorite pictures was the one with the brother laying on his belly while his sister rested her head on his back. They looked so loving and cozy.
I loved seeing the special connection between twins when I photographed them together. The brother would tenderly wrap his arm around his sister so protectively. We nested them in a basket together. I loved using all of the flowery headbands. It was fun to watch the parents gazing down on their new babies. We wrapped the babies in a white swaddles, which contrasted nicely to the color of the parents shirts. It was so much fun to mix colors and backgrounds in order to find that perfect shot.
What a blast we had today! I have chosen some of my favorite pictures to share. I cannot wait to see how these beautiful children grow and develop over the years.
