Elegance and lace describes the cute little girl in this newborn photo session. This family chose Washington DC Photography to create a photo keepsake of their new little bundle of joy.
In this appointment, we chose to focus on the new baby. She was so sweet and cooperative, which allowed me plenty of time to work with many different poses. Her coloring was so beautiful, and she was sporting a stunning head of wispy brown hair. I did add the occasional headband, which added delicate accents to her already feminine features.
I started this with the basic sleeping nude-baby photos, but then I added cute accents, including a crocheted blanket and little lace pants. In a few of the photographs, I was able to capture a soft wistful smile on her beautiful pink lips. How great it would be to see what was going on in her dreams. In one photograph, I focused in on her delicate hands with her cute little nails. I can just imagine what these hands would one day create. I loved the classic country look we created by taking photos of this lovely girl on top of a variety of blankets in a wooden crate. The bonnet and matching blanket were just adorable.
I love creating these treasured keepsakes for so many families. As I watch my own children getting older, I reflect back on how quickly this time goes by. I hope that this family will return in the future for her six-month photos and, of course, the one-year pictures with a cake!
